Welcoming the guests, the acting deputy head of the region noted the serious potential in establishing bilateral business interaction with companies that are members of the Chamber of Commerce, especially considering that Germany was among the top 20 major trade partners of the Murmansk region.
At the meeting, Zoya Sandzhieva presented to the German delegation the investment potential of the Murmansk region and familiarized it with major projects implemented in the region. An exchange of views on the prospects for the development of cooperation took place. Over 20 companies that produce equipment for a wide range of industrial and energy applications took part in the trip.
The visit program of the Murmansk region also included visits to the production sites of Apatit JSC in Kirovsk, acquaintance with the implementation of NOVATEK investment projects for the construction of large marine structures and those of Enel for the construction of a wind farm.
“Having visited a number of enterprises and familiarized with the situation in the regional industry, I would like to note the great prospects for cooperation with industrial enterprises of the region. This business visit demonstrated the attractiveness of the Murmansk region as one of the most industrialized regions of the country attractive for investment,” Managing Director of Communications Vladislav Chepinogo shared his impressions from the trip.
Murmansk region is one of the largest regions of the European North of Russia, which has strategic importance for the country's interests in the Arctic. It is also one of the most industrialized and attractive regions for investors, possessing the richest natural resources. Mining industry, metallurgy, and power industry have the largest share in the region’s volume of industrial production.
