Comprehensive alarm management for your personal security needs: With the new DSS DECT™ Secury System

As a system supplier for in-house private communication networks our declared objective is to optimise the utilisation of modern radio technologies. Formed from parts of ANT-Nachrichtentech-nik, Bosch Telecom and Tenovis Mobile Security Communications our company's wide experience can offer you the perfect solution for your security, data and voice communications systems. Permanent availability of the communication paths together with unrestricted in-house mobility increases flexibility and clearly improves rapidity and efficiency of your operational procedures.

New standards in security and in-house communications

The new DSS DECT™ Secury System is based on a modern multicellular DECT™ communication system. The system's use of multiple channels guarantees all security functions, even with high traffic volumes. The small and lightweight handsets offer a combination of forward-thinking features: personal emergency signalling functions combined with automatic localisation, complete telephone functions with all modern ISDN features, and comprehensive messaging functions for text message transmission. The modern and ergonomic DECT™ Secury FCl S handsets are small and robust, easy to handle and simple to operate.

The central features also set new standards: LAN-based control switchboard with multistation capability, equipped with software that can be optimised to suit individual task scenarios. Even complex alarm situations are displayed clearly and logically. The switchboard operator is guided step by step by the system, thus ensuring reliable alarm processing The system also provides the possibility of video fade-ins. A special software package means that it can be used as a management and control system for guard rounds.

Performance features

Rapid assistance in the event of danger is provided by the FUNKTEL DECT™ Secury System that is based on the DECT™ Messaging System and fitted with a personal emergency alarm unit. The comfortable mobile telephone system with both messaging and personal alarm function offers
  • area-specific or room-specific localisation of persons in need of assistance
  • immediate and reliable assistance provision by means of call routing
  • monitoring of the assistance provision
  • call routing of the alarm to other mobile units
The system localises and notifies cases of emergency. Monitoring and voice links can be established and remote controlled between the switchboard and the employee in danger.

Attack situations are signalled by means of a tear-off contact, and in the event of accidents or attacks in a dangerous workplace environment the call for assistance is made automatically via sensors, e.g. if the person falls or loses consciousness. The Secury FC1 S handset enables will-dependent alarms to be triggered by the user via the emergency signalling button, and will-independent alarms such as position alarm, no-motion alarm, time alarm and loss alarm.

In addition the keypad can be used to establish a voice connection to other users. Using inductive localisation transmitters the system can exactly localise the person in need of assistance, so that specific help can be called in immediately. This means that the aid team can be guided to the correct location as quickly as possible.

Optimum in-house radio signal provision is ensured by the DECT™ basis stations that guarantee perfect mobile voice and message communication between the switchboard staff, the helpers and the person seeking assistance. The basis stations also provide area-specific localisation of the person seeking assistance.

Telephony and emergency alarm in a handset

Handset functions
Telephony and messaging

Within this modern communications system the Secury FC1 S handset allows voice communication to other mobile units and to a private branch exchange and the public telephone network with all ISDN performance features. Comprehensive messaging functions and a generously sized display enable reception of both alarm messages and text messages, automatically generated fault notifications, messages from connected computer systems, manually generated messages from LAN-based messaging clients right through to the display of e-mails. Pre-programmed texts can also be triggered and transmitted.

Personal emergency alarm function

Alarms and messages are transmitted together with the localisation information to the console at the switchboard. This localisation information comprises the identification codes of the DECT™ base stations for the area-related localisation or the identification codes of the inductive localisation transmitters for room-specific localisation of the person in need of assistance.
    Will-dependent personal alarm
  • Push-button alarm, triggered by the alarm button on the Secury handset
    Will-independent personal alarm
  • Position alarm, automatic triggering by the position senso
  • No-motion alarm, automatic triggering when not moving
  • Time alarm, automatic triggering when a button is not pressed within a preset time
  • Loss alarm, automatic triggering when the Secury handset is forcibly removed Automatic technical alarms
  • Function alarms triggered if start-up test fails, with cyclical monitoring errors or when the battery is empty

System functions
  • Operates as autarchic system or as a part of a hazard management system in conjunction with other in-house alarm systems
  • Switchboard with several central webnet-gms client workstations
  • Processing of personal alarms at the switchboard workstation with location plan representation and control of telephony, messaging and triggering of contacts
  • Constant updating of room-specific and area-specific alarm representation on the location plans
  • Switchover from location plan representation on the operator console to video fade-ins from CCTV (optional extra)
  • Remote-controlled contacting and monitoring function (without active participation of the person requiring assistance) to ensure fastest possible analysis and evaluation of an alarm situation
  • Immediate automatic alarm call forwarding to other mobile unit users
  • Automatic triggering of contacts, mail transmission and alarm forwarding when the danger situation escalates
  • Manual triggering of contacts to set off external alarm signals (siren, flashing lights, door lock-down during an assault...)
  • Monitoring of the assistance situation
  • Self-monitoring of the system
  • Automatic log-in and log-out procedures of the Secury FC1 S handset in the security cycle with checking of the alarm triggering sensor technology

All-round security: alarm processing and recording

Irrespective of the field of application (in industry, security firms, hospitals, psychiatric clinics) all incoming alarms are received firstly by the Secury server.

DECT™ Secury server

The DECT™ Secury server is designed for 24-hour operation, and equipped with the Secury application software. Here the alarms are evaluated and forwarded to the webnet-gms client. In parallel to this, complete alarm notifications are automatically forwarded to Secury handsets, radio call receivers, either in e-mail or SMS form or as contact triggers to set off external alarm equipment. The Secury server also offers
  • automatic function checking of active Secury handsets
  • monitoring of emergency call processing
  • initiation of webnet-gms messaging, contacting and relay control

Switchboard workstation with the webnet-gms client software

Webnet-gms clients are required to display the operational processes of the DECT™ Secury system on the computer screen and to facilitate comfortable operation. This software module is installed either on the Secury server or on a compatible PC connected via LAN. The webnet-gms client offers
  • display of the alarm situation on location plans
  • display of the progress of the alarm situation on location plans and as localisation record
  • alarm processing
  • control and co-ordination of the assistance provision
  • remote control of the alarm-signalling Secury handset to establish voice communication
  • Muting/activation of the handset to enable eavesdropping in hostage situations
  • Video fade-ins of the alarm situation

Perfect functions: Guidance and monitoring system for guard rounds

Software module for guard rounds

This software package offers a completely new concept in guard rounds. In addition to the monitoring and recording functions the security guard is actively guided by the system. "We are all creatures of habit" and this old adage has cost some security guards dearly. Because it is exactly these habits that can be spied on and exploited for criminal purposes. And it is exactly these habits that are being broken by the DSS DECT™ Secury System.

A new concept for security personnel
  • The inspection patrols are selected and determined manually or at random, and several different guard rounds can be carried out and monitored simultaneously
  • The guard rounds can be changed comfortably to suit the current requirements: specific locations can be left out or the sequence changed, guard rounds can be interrupted or curtailed
  • During his guard round the security guard is automatically advised of his next location and the time for this when he passes a checkpoint and this is displayed on his DECT™ Secury handset
  • Any actions to be taken by the guard are automatically advised at the right place and at the right time
  • The time and location when a checkpoint is passed is automatically notified to the switchboard, where it is monitored and recorded
  • Alarms are displayed at the switchboard workstation screen and at the webnet-gms client workstation
  • No need for conventional time-clocks and patrol record cards
