The digital explosion-proof intercom is used as part of a simplex communication system in a decentralized communication system. It is used to establish direct voice connections with other intercoms, as well as to transmit messages via speakerphone in explosive environments. These intercoms are designed for wall mounting. Dust- and waterproof housing and keys are made of polyester reinforced with fiberglass.

The intercom housing is a supporting structure designed to accommodate the main printed circuit boards, an optional 25 W built-in amplifier board, and a terminal block. On the front panel, there are switchable keys, built-in speaker, microphone, and electronic circuit board. All electronic components are placed in intrinsically safe electrical circuits, which provides the possibility of placing the device in hazardous areas.

A unique feature of our explosion-proof intercom is the placement of printed circuit boards in metal cylinders made of stainless steel, and not filled with epoxy! Thanks to this, these elements remain in integrity with external damage to the intercom. Accordingly, we can always take them out and install in a new housing. In case of boards malfunction, they are quickly replaced by working ones.

There is a U-interface board is in the upper cylinder, in the cylinder of the device’s lower part — the printed circuit boards with digital and analog components and a removable additional 25-watt amplifier. The device has an IP66 degree of protection.

The connection terminals of the explosion-proof intercom are also located at the bottom of the housing.
